About Project Jolt

What the hell is this?

The Daily Jolt, in all its comprehensive goodness, was first conceptualized at Amherst where a couple of innovative, kick-ass students were fed up with the inefficient web content provided by the school website. It has now wrapped its tentacles around over 100 colleges across the U.S. and overseas. Hooray, Jolt!

Who the hell are we?

NYU students. Duh.

Alexis is an elderly squirrel living in the park. Her name is derived from "Alexander," meaning, "savior and defender of mankind," and nothing could prove her dedication to fulfilling this role better than this website.

Ellen's origins are obscure - but most likely she is from royal lineage - as evidenced by her aquiline nose and saphiric eyes. Her name is derived from "Helen," from the Greek, meaning "the light" and also "the chick that caused all that hoopla during the Trojan (hehe) War." After becoming a Bride of Christ in 1993 (read: entered all-girls Catholic school), Ellen engaged in scholarly pursuits while clad in polyester plaid until 1999, when she departed the land known as "St. Louis" and came to the big city. After enrolling in the co-ed world of NYU, she was ironically confronted with an even smaller populace of available males. Time that should be spent dedicated to nurturing a serious relationship is instead wasted on the composition of quirky html code.

This is weird, get me out of here.
